SalutationDear Mr McMann (ev. Dear Sir/Madam if you don’t know the name)

Paragraph 1 – here you shortly write about the purpose of writing a letter, it may be a complaint, a enquiry, a request.

I am writing to complain about the notebook I have bought in your shop two weeks ago during my holidays in London.

Paragraph 2 – here you write about that important case you’ve written because of, don’t write too long, but give a clear and logical explanation.
My purchase of the Lenovo L5 notebook has been done on July 17th in Electronics Shop on Bakers’ Street, London, during my holiday time in Britain. When I came back to Poland, I have realized the product has been faulty. The screen is extremely scratched and there is a free Linux operation system installed instead of a brand new Windows Vista that was mentioned in the advertisement.

Paragraph 3 – here you should summarize the problem and write what action do you expect from whom you are writing, it may be a refund or perhaps sending some leaflets.
I am undeniably disappointed with the quality of your product and hereby demand replacing the faulty product into the one featured on the advertisement or a refund of a product’s lower quality in £400. In the attachment I add the receipt as the evidence of the purchase. As I do not plan any more journeys to Britain, you can contact me by phone or e-mail in a week time till you get this letter.

Paragraph 4 – here you give your wish that everything will finish properly and you expect further correspondence.
Hope, the problem will be easily and quickly solved.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
